I am a member at Fuquay-Angier. We have purchased land for more hangars.
The deal is that if someone wants to build a hangar there, that person or
group is responsible for building the hangar. We can assist in the planning
and government approval process. In return you get a substantially reduced
rent for a certain period of time. If you are interested in exploring this,
I can put you in touch with the club president.

      Len,

Thank's for the welcome! I'm coming from Oregon and we'll be living in an
apartment somewhere between Raleigh and RDU. I've called a few airports,
but things seem to work different than I'm used to. Some of the airports
have groups of individually owned hangars. When I talk to someone at the
airport, they may only control some of the hangars? Triple W seems to be
this way. I haven't tried Cox or Fuquay. I'll give them a shot.

      Thanks,
      Greg

Cox is in Cary and very "experimental" friendly !!

I just emailed on the hangar situation at Fuquay-Varina. I'll also point
out that there is shop space to rent in the warehouse district in Raleigh.
Once, our glider club rented such space for a few weeks to refinish a wing.
Sorry, I don't remember where or who, except I think it was on West St.

      Hi,

I've just joined this list and will be moving to NC in a couple weeks. I've

got a RV-7A kit that's about half done and I'm looking for a hangar or shop
to rent around the Raleigh area. I've called a couple airports around the
area, but hangars appear to be in short supply. Does anyone know of a good
place for my project to call home? A hangar would probably be ideal, but
      I'm open to suggestions.

      Thanks in advance,

      Greg

This is my backyard-- and a lot of friends. I've done several of the
medicals for pilots out there. It's a great group. I'm a day late, though. I
(today) committed to attend a CAP class to cert me as a check airman. (This
will get my complex airplane time paid for...)a new option now that I'm a
CFI. It's only offered once every 4 years! Also (and more important) I've
started teaching my 16yo son to fly!! What a great feeling watching him get
"the bug". We go up again Sat-- starting to work on landings.
Let me know when you need your flight review. An RV would work just fine for
      me.
