That sounds counterintuitive to most who think hot starts are a problem but for me it's just the first start of the day that has me monkeying with mixture and throttle while grinding away. A friend has suggested I install a SlickSTART magneto booster to alleviate my woes. Does anyone out there use one and are you happy with the results? Never have a problem with cold starts, just prime for 5 seconds with electric primer, crack throttle 1/4 and it starts in about 3 to 5 rotations. What is Ellison TBI? I don't think ignition is your problem. What ignition do you have now? ADIZ; over 7,200 responses so far In one of its biggest pushes ever, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association has been urging its members to submit public comments on the FAA's proposed rule to make the Washington, D.C. Air Defense Identification Zone a permanent fixture of the National Airspace System. As of Friday afternoon (the FAA did not update its totals over the weekend), 7,285 people had registered comments, but that still is not enough for AOPA President Phil Boyer. 'We're very pleased with the response so far, but we need much more,' he said. 'Politicians respect numbers, and this is ultimately a political decision.' The deadline to file comments is November 2. Pilots can submit their remarks online; AOPA has set up a page with instructions and background information here: HYPERLINK "http://www.aopa.org/adizalert/"http://www.aopa.org/adizalert/ This really is important!!
