All,
I need to retrieve our RV8 from south Fl before the hurricane hits there.
Is there anyone who can give me a ride to Baxley, GA (KBHC) this afternoon
(from Concord (JQF)? I will buy your gas for the round trip.

Subject: | RV 6,7,9 cowl available |
--> RVSouthEast-List message posted by: Woody Stagg <rv7a.6ws@gmail.com>
SE listers:
I have a Van's RV7A cowl with scoop suitable for vert. induction engines
available. It is in new condition. Since I got my finish kit 2 years ago, I
have made some changes, and now need a non-scoop cowl. I also decided to go
with a Sam James setup and plenum. Needless to say, I now have an extra
cowl.
I can send back to Van's for credit, but shipping is pricey. If you need a
cowl, I can save you some money. It is in my hangar at INT.
Van's price is $1075 plus about $375 for shipping. Can be yours for $700,
and shipping is free if you meet me at the hangar and pick it up! Not sure
if you would save on finish kit shipping, as the windscreen is pretty big,
but Van's may be able to answer that.
My understanding is the 6,7, and 9 all have the same firewall, so they use
the same cowl.

Jason I had the ellison in my 4 and it worked great.
Must be the set up. Tom Malachuck helped me put my new
one in. He could help you. I have the Unison in the
Rocket and it works great. Dan at Sanford put it in.

Congratulations to Len!
About three and a half weeks ago the Blue Ridge
Aviators, EAA 731, held their annual fall fly-in. Len
showed up early, one of the first planes actually.
Unfortunately he had to depart early as well, but at
least he did so with flair! Throughout the day about
35 planes showed up, and most were homebuilts and
ultralights. Twelve Young Eagles earned their wings
and trophies were awarded to builders/owners in
multiple categories.
The winner of the best Vans RV plane was our very own
Len Leggette. Beautifiul plane, great builder. It's
also quite a bit of inspiration for me and my own RV-8
(Empennage almost finished, Wings scheduled to ship in
less than a week!)
Len, please contact me so I can get your trophy to
you!
