Brought me back a few years. Do they still call the F-15 the "Hudson"? Does anybody remember where the name came from? When I was flying F-16's it was standard protocol to close down the nozzle when taxiing past F-15's so as to protect the 6 o'clock. If you know what "Hudson" is all about you know what I mean. Let the games begin, indeed. We used to throw the BUC (SEC later on) switch as well to close the nozzle! Even though it's been a long time since the Kadena incident, we still razz the gray Eagle guys in the squadron whenever given the chance about it. Nice lineup of jets, I'm envious. Probably the best "bang for the buck" of them all! By the way, those are the series that at least *one* air force starts with and is the series that MANY from *our* Air Force end up in. :-) James On 11/11/05, Larry Bowen wrote: > > --> RVSouthEast-List message posted by: "Larry Bowen" > > > FYI - > > Len made this timely submission of fighter pics: > > http://bowenaero.com/serv/Fightersmetmuziek.pps > > Happy vet's day, > > - > Larry Bowen, RV-8 130 Hrs, USAF desk-jockey 1985-1990 > Larry@BowenAero.com > http://BowenAero.com > > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: Marcus Cooper [mailto:coop85@bellsouth.net] > > Sent: Friday, November 11, 2005 7:55 AM > > To: rvsoutheast-list@matronics.com > > Subject: RE: RVSouthEast-List: The Games (previously > > taildragger instruction) > > > > --> RVSouthEast-List message posted by: "Marcus Cooper" > > --> > > > > Ron, > > Oddly enough I can't remember calling it the Hudson, but I > > do know what you're talking about.
