Good for you, Larry. I'll be adding some kind of VOR/ILS capability one day soon,
just not sure which. That darn GNS 530 is so pricey, but such a sweet complement
to the GRT EFIS... still window-shopping at this point.
Got the harness done in the kitchen last night, as far as I could without actually
pulling the wires to the servo. The bigger job will be mechaniclaly mounting
the servo behind the baggage bulkhead

not having found 28A are, Take I-485 to Laywers Rd. exit. Head East about 3 miles
you will see a sign for LongAviation, make the first left and drive past
the small F.B.O. onto the red clay driveway. Keep to the left of the runway
lights. The hangers are at the far end of the runway and mine is second to the
last next to Ed Andersons blue -6A. I should have everything but additional
sawhorses would be helpful if the are padded.

Yes, went for a quick flight this morning. Barely in the 30's on the
grounds, 55 degrees about 2000 MSL. A sign of things to come later today.

BIG TIME CORRECTION!!!! DO NOT drive in the mud period. Chances are the red
clay driveway to the left of the runway lights will be a muddy mess, even if
it looks dry.
Mike Bick the new airport monitors this list and may come in and correct me,
But I believe he would much rather any visitors/helpers coming out to help
go past the FBO and pull out to the runway, check for landing traffic and if
clear drive on the runway right in the center of the runway to the far end
where Tad's hangar is. Whatever you do, do not drive on the edge of the
runway or in the mud or be prepared for a butt chewing from Mad Man Mike!
I will try my best to be there, Tuesday around 2pm.

Thanks again for all the replies. As it regards to entering the airport. The
first enterance is for the FBO. the next gravel road from the approach end of
4 had or has an orange cone use this parallel drive way to roughly the end then
cross over the runway towards the last 2-300 feet or so.

As a reminder, I'm offering people flying in to the Lakeland fly-in local
auto transportation to and from hotels or to get food or other things.
Unfortunately, due to work, I won't be available until early evening on the 13th.
But,
I'm available from about 0800-1800 on the 14th and 0800-1400 on the 15th. I
live in Tampa and can make pickups anywhere from Tampa to Lakeland. I'll
leave Tampa each day about 0700 for LAL.

or call 813-732-7369 and leave a message if I don't answer. I'll have seats
for 4 each trip and I can make multiple trips into Lakeland. Should I not be
