9 east of Stantons. Smoothest grass strip ever. Long and wide. 20+ timers
hang out there all the time. Big barn philled (get it?) with tractors and
aircraft. Our own Delta-Delta gave it the name "Phil's aerospace and
tractor museum" a couple summers ago. Low pass required before landing.
Good times.....

Subject: | Demolished Hangar Removal |
--> RVSouthEast-List message posted by: "Ed Anderson" <eanderson@carolina.rr.com>
Thought I would throw this out on the list to see if anyone knows anyone, who knows
anyone, who knows somebody....etc who may be interested in removing the remains
of my demolished hangar at Goose Creek (28A) for $500.
I had one individual "signed-up" to remove it for its scrap metal value - but he
ended up in the hospital, so that fell through.
Clearly, I would hope that its scrape value would make it worth its removal. But,
Its been there a month and I am getting ready to order the new hangar, so
I need to make it gone, soonest - hence the $500 sweetener. Would need to take
no more than 3 days to take it apart and remove it. Address of airport is 2020
Lawyers, Rd, Indian Trails, NC.
If you know of anyone who may be potentially interested have them contact me at
704-821-7595 (home) or send me an e mail at:
eanderson@carolina.rr.com
I will be gone for most of a week beginning Friday, so they need to contact me
before then or after I return.
Thanks

You don't have to be successfully sued to lose money. I spoke with a
gentleman at a fly-in breakfast that sold a Mitchell Flying wing that was
later crashed into a tree (2 injured). He did not build the plane. The suit
was "unsuccessful" but was drawn out over 2 years and cost him $40,000 in
legal fees. Team Aircraft (Mini-Max, Airbike) was "unsuccessfully" sued but
had to close up shop when it didn't have the assets left to fight the
appeal.
I built a RV6, so i'm not trying to discourage anyone. Someone could sue you
over a used car, lose, and still cost you a small fortune.

My friend Wade Britt just bought an RV-4. He's operating out of Plantation
Airpark in Sylvania, GA not far from me. If the fly-in at Stantons is on,
we should be able to make it. That's the plan, anyway. Count us in for
Phil's afterward too...

I've never been there, what should I be aware of when landing. And yes I have

Here are two that I like because they go out past 48 hours to 5 days or
more.
This one is simplistic but easy to understand
http://www.intellicast.com/IcastPage/LoadPage.aspx
This one is somewhat more complex in that you need to understand what the
pressure gradients are telling you.

And of course the old reliable that has everything
