How is the panel mounted vertical card compass doing in 910LL? Do you have
      any anti-vibration mounting?

Working between the fuse and the wing wasn't too bad while taking it apart.
(I had used Allen head cap screws.) For the 6 wing the fuel level sender
must be removed first. Then the plate.
Putting it all back togather was another story. It was a b****! Hard not to
make a mess with the sealant. Much easier to insert and turn the plate and
pick-up tube into position with the tank removed.Drilling the B nut was done
with a little tool from Avery for drilling bolts for safty wire. It went
      easily.
Will be removing the right tank when I to it.

      Thanks Larry.

One might not realize how bumpy it was out there given some of the pictures.

That "in trail" shot, like the earlier one gives me goose bumps as it
reminds me of the huge BUMPS we hit probably seconds later.

      Hi All,

I sent my paperwork into the CLT FSDO over three weeks ago and have not heard anything
from them yet. I'm ready to call a DAR. There are three listed in the
NC area: Richard Cunningham, Jerry Hughes and Robert Woods. Have any of you
dealt with these guys? Tell me who to call.

GSO FSDO is easy to work with. Not sure if it's taboo for them to cross
      jurisdiction lines. Worth a shot....

Bob Woods is very easy to work with he has inspected 4 planes for me and all
went very smooth but I am not sure if he can do your inspection because they
are assigned a region and i dont think they can cross .

      Good luck
      George

      Ron:

Jerry Hughes is head of maintenance at Atlantic Aero at GSO ... he did my
inspection. I don't have a lot of good things to say ... he was mostly
interested in making sure the FAA paperwork was right ... did not even spend 10

minutes looking at the plane. If you are confident the plane is right ... he
      is
okay. He messed me up on the Repairmans Cert and I had to get FSDO office
in Greensboro to straighten that out ... he never sent the paperwork in even
though I called him several times about it .. he had charge me $100 for that
and FSDO was very upset that he charged for something that was suppose to be
      free.

I told them to take it as a formal complaint from me !!

      Len

      Hi All,

I sent my paperwork into the CLT FSDO over three weeks ago and have not
heard anything from them yet. I'm ready to call a DAR. There are three listed

in the NC area: Richard Cunningham, Jerry Hughes and Robert Woods. Have any
of you dealt with these guys? Tell me who to call.

Yes a great time was had.

We are always glad to see other RVs and RV-derivatives in the air.

I noticed that Tad's RV had a slightly different sound ... maybe smoother or
more muted. Does he have special pipes?

      Nice planes, Tad and Brian.
