Dennis is planning on a similar schedule, weather permitting. He'll be happy to
meet you in Washington, since that's about 19nm from here. (c: The girls are
both taking the ACT on April 8, so we'll be staying here in Greenville.

Okay, since you want it that way, Stormy's okay with a Thursday-Sunday itineary.
I'll tell the staff to block me out on Thursday and let my right-seater know
of the change in plans. All wx-permitting, of course.
Where and when shall we plan to meet up? I'll be stopping over in Washington Co.,
NC on the way down and back. Planning on HB camping, too.

We'd be delighted to hook up with Dennis at the start of our journey. Will fine-tune
as the day approaches.

Folks,
I'm being transferred to Wilmington, NC (from the bustling metropolis of
Tabor City, NC!) and I was wondering if there were any RV builders near
there.
I think there are several at the Stag Airpark EAA Chapter (292?) but I
just thought I'd ask.
Moving around June/July.

Why don't you plan to meet us at CUB (Columbia Owens Downtown) .. since you
will be coming from eastern NC.

Thanks Len. We were. Looks like I'm gonna have to sell it unfinished.
The GOOD news is that we're building a "finished" house that I won't
have to work on all the time... with a nice big 2-car garage and a wide
door.
I'll probably stick an air compressor in there too!!!
I wonder what I'll do with all that free time? <RV GRIN>

Works for me, but that doesn't sound like a cheap fuel stop- is it?
Maybe an overhead join-up at CUB followed by a landing wherever cheap fuel is to
be had.

No problem. I'm still building and I want to make sure things around the
control column and aileron push-pull tubes have no chance of interferring with
full stick deflection. But, I don't have my wings on yet, so I can't check it
to see if it's reaching the aileron stop before touching anything.
Stan
Without measuring I'm guessing 30 degrees each way. What seems to be the
problem?

Can someone with an RV-8 tell me how many degrees of throw you have from
full
aileron deflection right to full deflection left? Maybe use a digital
protractor on the side of your stick and take a measurement for me?

Ron,
Thanks for your help!

Do Not Archive
I measured mine at 45 degrees total throw from extreme left to right.

cheap fuel at AMG- Alma, ga. for all who are
interested...could meet there for formation in to LAL,
or in air S. of CUB. on way to AMG.
