July 1 Troutman Fly Over
Paulette Klein called me and asked we could help Troutman with their
Event
The 2nd Annual Iredell County Independence Day Parade.
Marine Corps league Detachment 1097, Town of Troutman is sponsoring this
event honoring all of our veterans, rep each branch. Grand Marshals
will be
WWII vets, Marine corps color guard, rolling thunder, bag pipers, army &
navy race cars,
The parade is Friday, July 1 - Time 11 AM - for about one hour.
They would love to have airplanes fly over the parade starting at 11 am.
The parade runs from the American Legion building to the fair grounds on
Hwy
21.
Dennis Clairy will be in charge of the fly over contact.
She has talked with Breece Nesbitt who she said had agreed to
participate.
Breece will also contact some of his warbird buddies including Norbert.
I told her I would solicit more planes in the June Newsletter.
Next meeting is Wednesday, June 14, 6:30 pm at the Tally House
Restaurant in
Troutman (she is buying - actually she works there).
Perhaps we can discuss on Saturday at Gastonia.
