All travelers to Ocracoke "The Slushie Stand" rents bikes at $25.00 per bike
for 4 days. The are at the "T" at the harbor on your map. 252-928-1878.
They offer Adult Tricycles for you older types who need the stability. I
will probably get one to match my training wheel airplane. Bring on the
comments. Fire at will.

I've rented from the Slushee Stand before. Bikes were okay, not
great, IIRC. Not sure they will leave bikes at the airpor for you,
though. It's a long walk carrying your full kit if they don't...
maybe 1.5 miles?
Those of us at the Crew's Inn don't get complimentary bikes. For the
hotels it may be different.
Let us know what you find out. I might change my plans of a better
deal appears.

As an RV want to be, who owns a Europa XS in Atlanta, (wife wants me to sell
it for a bigger and faster aircraft, is that not music to ones ears). I have
noticed while monitoring your list that you all have something going on
almost every weekend to fun spots around the SE. Are there any limitations
on who can participate in these weekend escapes? Do you all let none Rv'ers
tag along? That is two steps to the rear on the left.

Steve come along, were an non aircraft specific offenders group. We even
allow Certified's to join our non- exclusive club.
In the words of Groucho Marx
I would not join a club that would have a person like me as a member.

Steve you can come there in a 6-wheeled RV or a Cessna 150 an you would be
welcomed! You might have to start out a little earlier than others though.
:-)
Come to any of our events. How else will non-RV'ers get to experience the
"RV-Family"?

As an RV want to be, who owns a Europa XS in Atlanta, (wife wants me
to sell
it for a bigger and faster aircraft, is that not music to ones ears).
I have
noticed while monitoring your list that you all have something going
on
almost every weekend to fun spots around the SE. Are there any
limitations
on who can participate in these weekend escapes? Do you all let none
Rv'ers
tag along? That is two steps to the rear on the left.

Point taken, Stripes. We should ask Alden if he'll do that for us.
Then we can shave 15 bucks each off the bike rentals if the Slushee
stand has enuf.
Translation: Len, call Alden and talk him into rides to/from the
airport on Friday/Monday as we're not into all that bike riding stuff.
Be nice to me and I'll carry Donna in my basket; I know she likes that :-)
