I've rented from the Slushee Stand before. Bikes were okay, not
great, IIRC. Not sure they will leave bikes at the airpor for you,
though. It's a long walk carrying your full kit if they don't...
      maybe 1.5 miles?

Those of us at the Crew's Inn don't get complimentary bikes. For the
      hotels it may be different.

Let us know what you find out. I might change my plans of a better
      deal appears.

Shouldn't be a problem. Call them to rent the bikes (unless you opt
for Slushee Stand rentals on a first-come basis) and tell them your
arrival date. Or they can leave your bikes chained up at the airport
Friday night - won't hurt anything.

I called the realty office and they said they could only rent for the week
with reservations. They said there was no chance of running out of bikes,
either. Guess I'll just get them Sat am. Thanks.

Shouldn't be a problem. Call them to rent the bikes (unless you opt
for Slushee Stand rentals on a first-come basis) and tell them your
arrival date. Or they can leave your bikes chained up at the airport
Friday night - won't hurt anything.

--> RVSouthEast-List message posted by: "Steve Glasgow" <willfly@carolina.rr.com>

I called the Crews Inn this morning and they said they could have someone
pick us up at the airport and take us back.

All I need is the ETA on Friday. My guess would be between 12:00 and 12:30
      PM Friday September 1.

Please let me know if this is OK and I will let Crews Inn know.

Wayne, just give me an ETA on Saturday and we will make sure you get picked
      up somehow.

As to bikes I called both places this morning:

Reality place said (252-928-2924): $23 for three days, they will make a
reservation and deliver/pick up bikes at the airport but they only have 24"
      or 26" bikes.

Slushie Stand said (252-928-1878): $25 for three days, they have 24", 25"
and 3 wheelers but will not make a reservation.

Since Lynnie would be more comfortable with a 3 wheeler, so I'm leaning
toward letting the Crews Inn pick us up and renting from the Slushie Stand.

So it boils down to have it your way.

If you want the bikes at the airport when you arrive call the Reality place
at 252-928-2924 direct line and make your reservation.
If you want to wait till you get there and rent from the Slushie Stand just
      do it.

The EIS is doing great, thanks for all the help. I ended up adding a switch
to select RPM source and then do the math for the Magneto which is only
      indicating 50%.

I've mostly been a lurker here, but I finally got my new RV-10, N585MR,
airborne yesterday and will hopefully become an active member if you are
open to another. I'm based out of Valdosta, GA until next March so
hopefully I'll get my 40 hours done as soon as possible and puts some faces
      to the names.

I plan to arrange for bike delivery to the apt, but I haven't yet. I doubt
we'll be able to depart before 4 PM Friday...

Isn't it funny, those of us that might want to work can't and those that
don't want to work, have to.
      Oh well!

Are you having your bikes delivered to the airport? Lets hear from the rest
      of you!

Please let me know if this is OK and I will let Crews Inn know.

Thanks for researching this, Cappy. I was quoted a higher price from
the realty co and will have to see about adjusting that :-)

As for ETA, I'm not sure how that will play out. I usually work till
3 on fridays, so a 4pm departure would be realistic, but you never
know. With two kids in college and a glass panel to finance, working
makes more sense than taking a 4 day weekend, in a perverse sort of
      way.

Marcus check your setting for the EIS if you still read half RPM The
setting should be 1 not 2 for the offset.
