The risk I see is a long wait at the airport if the innkeeper is not around right then, and I've seen that happen. Oh, well, a wait at Howard's Pub isn't that bad ;-) -Stormy atronics.com/Navigator?RVSouthEast-List ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 04:31:05 AM PST US From: "George Tamvakis" Subject: Re: RVSouthEast-List: Fw: Oil cooler --> RVSouthEast-List message posted by: "George Tamvakis" The engine mount is not the issue, what is going on the firewall is. Vans plans dont cover the oil cooler FW mount option, that is why I am checking with others so i dont have to do it twice. Thanks for the suggestion. Bert, I'm a repeat offender with a RV-6 and 50% of a RV-7 (sold it to start on the -10). I also built a Q-2 and Skybolt previous to the RV-6. The panel is a Grand Rapids dual EFIS and a Dynon EFIS for the backup, Garmin stack with 340 Audio, GNX 480, SL-30 Comm/Nav and 327 XPDR, TruTrak autopilot and (most importantly?) an eBay procured DVD player with pivoting screen (the absolute cheapest piece of equipment in the panel). The engine is an Aero Sport IO-540 D4A5 (which drove the 40 hour flyoff) with a Lightspeed ignition and regular mag. It took me just under 2 years and was a quickbuild version (I figured I paid my dues with the previous machines), part of that time was spent building a workshop when the garage hit critical mass. I am taking leave Mon and Tue in hopes of getting most (all ????) of the test period done this weekend. My wife is anxious to get flying in it.
