I bought a pneumatic rivet puller from Harbor Freight and I have no doubt it saved my hands, especially on the fuselage floorboards. It's the same gun sold by lots of folks for a whole lot more money, if you watch for it, Harbor Freight often has them on sale for about $19 if I remember right. If you're building RV-x fuel tanks, you will need to grind off about 40% of the puller snout & it's nowhere nearly as painful to destroy a $5 tool. And, it will still work to pull rivets in places no other puller can reach, using the swivel head. Frightening! (I'll have to ask Larry how to send if the attachment gets stripped.) New pilot and his wife off a small field (no weather) VFR into IMC. He was up from Georgia. It was his first long cross country. The airplane broke apart before impact (lost the wings). Thought it wouldn't hurt to remind everyone to have a plan on what to do it this happens to you. It can happen fast in an RV with our high rates of climb. The whiteout can be sudden. (Ask me how I know!) A little hood work occasionally can make a real difference. Wayne
