Subject: | Magento question |
HI:
I have found that when doing the mags check, there is a difference of more
than
150 rpms between the mags, as recommended by lycoming..
Timing is OK, plusgs are ok, only one not checked is mixture, but i do not
think
this has anything to do with it...
Any suggestions, appreciated. Engine is a Lyc. 0320e2d 150 HP

Bert,
How many hours do you have on the mags? Overhaul is recommended at 500 hours on
most mags. Only other suggestion I have is to swap some plug cables and see
if you may have a weak one.

Hi all,
I'm looking for an Apollo SL-70 transponder, new or yellow tagged for a certified
aircraft. Someone must have one gathering dust in the garage/hangar?

Since you haven't played with the mixture yet, you may want to do a good
run-up and lean the heck out of it. Then check it again. However, this
usually works only if the plugs are fouled and it sounds like yours are not
if the plugs look good.

Also Bert plugs start to break down after they get some age on them. You
could have a plug breaking down under compression
