While at SnF this spring Radomir and I saw an RV-6 tip-up where the gut
took some rip-stop nylon and Velcro'ed it over the gap between the two
panels. This effectively worked as a rain gutter, directing any water
off to either side. He said he hasn't had any problems since doing
this.

Thanks everyone, I ordered the slider today.
The tip-up option looks to be strong possibility. After all it's only
money and I have not purchased the avionics yet! Maybe I'll just use my
handheld radio and gps. Who needs an avionics stack.
Thanks again. Hope to see everyone soon...year??
