Dear Listers, There are just a few more days left of this year's List Fund Raiser! Response has been very good, but we are behind last year in the number of people that have made a Contribution and as a percentage of the total number of subscribers. Please remember that there isn't any sort of commercial advertising on the Lists and the *only* means of keeping these Lists running is through your Contributions during this Fund Raiser. Please make a Contribution today! http://www.matronics.com/contribution Thank you! Beautiful shots of Nifty; the one landing at Seaford is my new computer screen backdrop. Pushed a nice shot of an F1 off stage to do it too!! 2. BTW, I got the guys at Van's to fax me the trim installation page. Thanks for checking in Larry, but I've got it now. Looks like I missed the size on one of the flange cuts, but no harm done; I'll square that away tonight. 3. Bill: I'll send you a couple of pix of my Rocket-in-progress offline. I tried to send some yesterday to the Southeast list forgetting that that's a no-no. The airplane is coming along pretty well: On its feet all around, wings, HS, and VS on permanently, and the ailerons and flaps finalized. Much of the airplane is painted and the interior is going in---there is no help at all in the F1 builder's book on interior design or installation! Some of the early builders have set very high standards for interior fit-out and of course, everyone uses RV practices and customs as a guide. I am hoping to recieve my instrument panel populated with my avionics suite from Eastern Avionics this week. Now, if I can find a big main 540 crank, I'm in business. The crank on the Lycoming 540 core I bought turned out not to pass muster, so I'm shopping. I have just about everything else for the engine I need. Anyway, sorry (long answer), but I work on the airplane nearly every day and pretty much all day all weekend. That's why I haven't seen you guys at Stantons or anywhere else in awhile. Hoping to have it in the air by the Race to Ridgeland, but to be honest that will be a tall order since I only started on the airplane in April of this year. Lee...
