As a frequent Mooney flier (I'm building a 7) its nice to be able to stretch
the legs when you are solo using the right side space and like Dale says,
the empty seat for charts is nice especially if youl plan to fly IFR / BTW I
don't think my wife would have been happy in the back of an 8

I am 6.5 tall 253 lbs and own a 7a..... flown 8's and love it when flying
solo, but I do fly 95 % of the time with someone ,,that's got a lot to have
to do with owning a great airplane like vans offer..only thing you have to
do is ask if anyone wants to ride and you will have a someone almost every
time,,,& when you do it is a lot better having them beside you instead of
behind you !!!! IF they freeze on the controls in the back seat you are in
DEEP trouble also!!!!!!!! RANDY PINKSTON [KAFP]
