Toe -in of main gear legs on a RV-6A is determined by the gear leg weldment and the indexing of the retaining bolt in the gear leg/weldment. On my 6A, the holes in the gear legs and the weldments were done by Van's. The only way the toe-in on the mains could not be right would be the installation of the weldment. (Unless Van's goofed when drilling either piece. How far off is the right gear? Any shiming would have to be between the gear leg weldment and the fuse.
