I would love to say I am "in", however the only way my 8A is going to make it to Wyoming right now is on a trailer. I'm still twisting metal and pounding rivets. Thanks for providing inspiration to those of us still building. One day I hope to take off on such an adventure. Seeing you guys doing it gives me encouragement to keep plugging ahead. Be careful and have a good time! Craig Gallenbach RV8A - FWF baffling Steve Glasgow <willfly@carolina.rr.com> wrote: Sending again to SERV because I'm not sure I sent it the first time. Even if you have previously told me you were IN, if your name is not on this list, please let me know you are IN again. I need positive confirmation by then to assure there will be hotels and cars reserved for everyone that is IN. If you are having a problem or have questions please call and we can work them out. From: lee.logan@gulfstream.com
Guys: I'm very sorry to lose the world famous "Palmetto Flight Formation Demonstration Team" from our Race to Ridgeland venue this year, but I wanted to remind everyone else that the fly-in to Ridgeland (3J1) is the place to be the weekend of 12 May if you are NOT flying to Ohio instead! Check out www.racetoridgeland.com for details. We've changed the handicapping scheme slightly to (hopefully) preclude any statistical bias and to better base the handicap on sound aerodynamic principles only. At least that's the plan; like I've said a couple of times---this ain't Reno!! Please come and join us if you aren't otherwise engaged and invite all your flying friends to come along too. We'll have a hotdog/hamburger stand, but you're welcome to picnic if you like. There will be "facilities" available and lots of hangars to visit to get a little "shade time" if necessary. Bring the family---lots of kids had a lot of fun last year. Trophies through 5th place for the race and through third place for the Spot Landing and Biplane Beauty contests. See you there! Lee...

Folks, Let me chime in and say this is a **GREAT** event. We were there last year but due to a major clinic that we NEED to attend, we cannot make it this time. If for some reason a storm rains out the clinic (I doubt it), you can bet we will be there, trying to get one of those WONDERFUL trophies (I **assume** they will do that again. :-) ) Seriously, I do encourage the attendance to this as I think it is a great idea for a fly-in. Another good friends, good food, good flying event.
