I don't understand the problem with my ISP--- I sent a message to all the
related RV lists at 7:25 tis am and it still hasn't appeared on any of the
lists as far as I can tell.
We're on, but the wx isn't clearing here as quickly as I had hoped. It's
MVFR in the valley right now.

Cappy and Dale made it to 25 miles east of ROA and turned back due to
dark skies low clouds and poor visibilities. We probably could have
made it in but were concerned about making it out again and TS to the
west.
Oh well!

Sometimes one must do what one feels one must do.
Cappy as you know, I was looking at that beginning to happen along with the
cloud cover increasing and decided to "bail out". I was cleared off from
Ken who proceeded and I made a stop at KLKR. Ceilings had already lowered by
the time we all left KLKR.
Hope everyone has a great time and makes it back OK as it looks like
something is brewing between here and there.

Just got back to Gold Hill. Had a great time at Stormy's but sorry so
many bailed out due to weather. There definitely was some weather
around all day and kudo's to all who stayed inside thier comfort zone.
We're already clearing the calendar for next year! Thanks to all the
Boyd's for a great time.

An EARLY reminder ...
The ANNUAL "Race To Ridgeland" Fly In that our buddy Lee Logan helps put
together is scheduled for May 3, 2008.
See website for details ...
http://www.racetoridgeland.com/
Our good buddies at Lancaster (KLKR) are having a **FLT-IN ** and it is
scheduled for May 17, 2008.
It is a wonderful place for a laid back fly in. I expect it to be a LOT of
fun!! Don't miss it.
See their new website ... I like it!! <for obvious reasons> :-)

Mark your calendars.

Thanks for the update!!
And thanks for the "comfort zone" comment. For a lot of reason, it started
to not work for me. Hopefully I will make the next one no problem.
I did get to see Cappy and Dale for a little while on the ramp at KLKR.

Well, I had all of the heat, I wanted by 3:00PM, so I left Bill, Tad,
Rad and several others persuading the bolts into the wing spar of
Bill's RV-9. Wings are on and everything made the trip successfully.
Nice looking job, going to be a nice addition to the neighbor.
If you are interested in seeing it (and perhaps lending a helping hand)
tomorrow, give Bill a call at
704.607.4572. Of course, by the time he finishes today, he may have had
enough for the weekend {:>), I know I did.

A few of us made it. The weather improved for the trip down the
river and we had a very nice time. Stormy is a great host and has a
beautiful place(and the BBQ was very good). Five RVs and a Husky were
there. The trip back was a little dicey, but with a little effort and
wx info from RVs with 496s, we made it and got to see several rainbows
up close.

We made it home after a 2-hour pit stop at MWK to wait out the storms.
Thank you Stormy and Miriam for the hospitality. We had a wonderful time.

Subject: | Bill's RV-9 at GooseCreek! |
It is coming together and we will be flying soon.
I'll post pictures in the next few days. Nora took a bunch of them and
it will take some time to sort through them all.
We hand to remove the left landing gear to get it out the door but other
than that all went well.
After moving it to the airport and installing the right wing Tad flew
over and showed us why we build these things.
Ed, Tad, Rad, Ravi, Thane, and everyone else, thanks for all the help!
It is late and we are bushed. Time for bed, if we ever want to get to
the airport in the morning and do some more work.
Bill
