Has anyone heard, anybody know how Ron is doing on his quest to fly into

Hi Ed, This is Kathy, Ron's wife. I've been holding down "mission
control" as his brother has put it. I just spoke with Ron at 1635 and
he just had his third fuel stop and was at Macon Co. (1A5) on his way to
Transylvania. I figured Macon is his 90th airport on his way to 109.
He left home just before midnight last night and has made excellent
time, approximately 140 all the way. He had a 2-hour sit this morning
in Currituck before his flight to First Flight because of the no-light
situation there on the runway (awaiting some sunrise). The emails have
been flying around here and the phone ringing off the hook. This has
been a great day and we're so excited everyone is taking such an
interest. I will have him email when he returns. We're having our
annual 4th of July party at the Gold Hill Airpark starting at 5:30 and
he thinks he will be here before we close down the barbecue. He may be
landing for fuel in Siler City before his last leg home. Take care and

Ron will be touching down at Goose Creek (#98 of 109) I would think
