It's hard to buy a "bad" camcorder these day. Stick to the major players from the major stores and you'll be fine. -- Larry Bowen Larry@BowenAero.com http://BowenAero.com On 8/17/07, Bert Murillo <bertrv6@gmail.com> wrote: > > > Hello: > > I am planning a long cross country, and would like to video parts of it. > I do not have any idea, what Video recording to use, or how is used. > > Which is the least expensive one, and how easy is to do this while > flying. > > Any way to sit it on the glare shield, and shoot what you want? > > ( I have seeing some videos that are posted, some look real nice. > One question > on this, it takes a long time for me to load this videos even if is only a > few > seconds long,, Do I have to buy some program or hard ware, to be able to > load > this videos, quickly? but I digresse) > > Any information is appreciated... > > bertrv6a > > do not archive > >

One thing to make sure of is whether it can take video **INPUT** from another camera (like a bullet cam) if you wish to do that later. Some are models are not capable. I recommend any camcorder with a hard drive. Changing miniDV's and dvd's i s a pain in the butt not to mention dvd's take a long time to finalise. I have a Sony with a 30 GB hard drive and it can hold 20 hours worth of reco rdings. It is quick on and off, has great zoom, great video quality also t akes great pictures and sound quality is great for a cheap camcorder.(About $300)Sony DCR-SR40 now replaced by DCR-SR42. st-list@matronics.comSubject: Re: RVSouthEast-List: vdeo recordingIt's hard to buy a "bad" camcorder these day. OK Bert, you have shown me the light. I posted a new video with more class; musical background from Beethoven's 1st symphony!! Let's work together to get YouTube out of the gutter. (Bert, this is not a dig, just meant in good fun - happy landings on your trip) I shot this with JVC GZ-MG255U, clipped to closed cell block with a little Velcro on top of the glare shield.
