Dear IAC19 members,
See the important message below from Master Rigger FJ Hale on the subject of
parachute life.
Thanks, FJ, this is indeed good news!

Subject: Parachute Airworthy Certificates
I just got a call from a Don Young with the FAA in Atlanta. He assures me in
no uncertain terms that there is no expiration on the life of a parachute.
The question came up when I sent unit up to another rigger for some repairs
I was not equipped to make. He advised me that after 20 years the FAA would
not certify them. No so. Just like an aircraft, it depends on condition.
