Description
The Cincy River Rats are proud to sponsor a Spring Formation Clinic, May
9-11, 2008 at Middletown Airport (MWO), Middletown, Ohio. The Presenters will
be
Stu McCurdy, founder of Formation Flying, Inc. (FFI) and Mike Stewart from
Team RV.
Mandantory briefing starts promptly at 1830 May 9th. If you care to arrive
on the 8th and see the Air Force Museum at WPAFB, transportation will be
available. A short 45 minute drive from MWO. If you are a pilot and haven't seen
this museum, you're missing a treat.
The hotel of choice is the Historic Manchester Inn in Middletown just a mile
from the Airport. A special rate of $65 has been arranged. Saturday night
will be a prime rib buffet dinner ($20) with the group at the Manchester. Make
your own reservations NLT April 18, and mention that you are with the
Formation Clinic. 1-800-523-9126 or 513-422-5481. Link for the Manchester:
http://www.manchesterinn.com/
Friday night's dinner will be a BBQ provided by the local EAA chapter.
Saturday lunch will be sub sandwiches.
A donation will be expected by the participants in the range of $45 to cover
food (Except Prime rib), drinks, transportation, T-shirt and expenses for
Stu and Mike, etc.
For Newbies (you know who you are) your back/side seat needs stick and
throttle and Com in and out of your plane (PTT). No Vernier Throttles! You should
also be thoroughly familiar with "Thu Book" (T-34 manual) and the RV
supplement thereto.
This will be a fun-filled, SAFE, yet very intense flying weekend. Please
leave your worries, distractions, and egos at home. Be prepared and you'll be
rewarded.
