Hey, gang! We are enjoying the beach... it's loud (fireworks outside our
door till sometimes 2am - it is South Carolina after all, home of the
roadside fireworks stand for as long as I can remember) but we sleep in late
to make up for it.
Miriam was so thrilled with her BBQ sandwich last Saturday that she wants to
make that stop again and again (the hundred dollar barbecue), and has
twisted my arm into stopping at Carthage on our way home on the 16th.
Anyone up for a repeat of last Saturday?
So far, the weather outlook promises storms in the near term, moving out by
Saturday and giving us the perfect window to escape home. Here's hoping!

Stormy,
Tad and I will also be participating in the "dead reconing" contest.
Takeoffs are at 10:15, so if you are in for a late lunch, say 2 PM, we
can make it.

You all should be quaking in your beer cans. In other words, stay home,
this challenge is in the bag. Me and Spaz Maz (Former B1 Navi-guesser) have
it sewed up.
Smokey, the entry fee includes lunch this year. So stick around after you
land. Weigh in starts at 9 AM. This year you have to estimate your fuel
burn so they are going to weigh the airplanes before and after.
For the rest of you who feel like they want to stomped by a 135 HP RV-9,
there is room for more entries. Contact either John Wigney or Sam Stewart,
who are cc'ed on this note.
