Nice, now you need to design a simple switch that can be triggered remotely via cell phone to turn it on when you leave your house. What are you using for cowl plugs? Saturday afternoon when I first turned it on, my EMS showed the oil temp was 30 degrees F. 35 minutes later, it was up to 44. That was done with the cowl plugs in place and an old flannel bed sheet over the cowling. How are you going to attach it to the engine? They have switches like you describe but you will need to open your wallet! The plugs I'm using came from Van's, here's the link: http://www.vansaircraft.com/cgi-bin/catalog.cgi?ident=1232289843-226-303 <http://www.vansaircraft.com/cgi-bin/catalog.cgi?ident=1232289843-226-303&br owse=airframe&product=cowl_plugs> &browse=airframe&product=cowl_plugs Bill From: owner-rvsoutheast-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-rvsoutheast-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of Bret Smith Sent: Sunday, January 18, 2009 9:11 AM Subject: RE: RVSouthEast-List: FW: Inexpensive engine pre-heater Nice, now you need to design a simple switch that can be triggered remotely via cell phone to turn it on when you leave your house.
