HI:
I have installed a second radio, one of the questions is, I do not
have side tone, I believe I cannot transmitt..
When pushing the PTT buttom on the stick, it show the icon, tx..OK. I
have not tried, to confirm this, but I am sure that I should
have side tone if is to transmitt.
Any one with some experience on this, can give me some suggestions on
checking this?
Thanks

First thought is a connection to the intercom, or lack there of. Do a test
xmit to another radio (handheld, another plane, fbo). If that works,
probably an intercom connection.

I have no side tone when I turn off the intercom in my plane and I only have one
radio. It seems to be transmitting ok. I just can't hear it.
I would also suspect your intercom or connections. Dig out the schematics.

I knew when I commented on Croatian handguns, the Austrians would be along
shortly... Glock - sheesh!
Springfield added the grip safety to eliminate the risk of "Glock leg" when
re-holstering. And I've heard the difference between a Glock and a grenade
is, you pretty much know exactly when a grenade is going to explode.
That should get Bill riled up ;-)
Maybe if I can get the range ready by June, we can add plinking to the list
of activities for the Fly-In. Is there interest?

I knew when I commented on Croatian handguns, the Austrians would be along
shortly... Glock - sheesh!
Springfield added the grip safety to eliminate the risk of "Glock leg" when
re-holstering. And I've heard the difference between a Glock and a grenade
is, you pretty much know exactly when a grenade is going to explode.
That should get Bill riled up ;-)
Maybe if I can get the range ready by June, we can add plinking to the list
of activities for the Fly-In. Is there interest?

Radomir,
Isn't your wife Croatian? Just let me know when I can try her out.
Bill & Tad,
I really like my 9mm Tupperware! (And the other toys in my safe.)
As for the Glock and the safeties, the thing has three safeties built into
it and they work real easy. Keep your finger off the trigger and it won't
discharge. Put your finger on the trigger and it will fire every time.
Regarding not being able to tell if there is a round chambered and it is
cocked, well, if there is a round in it, it is cocked. Besides, I always
treat any firearm as if it is loaded, so I don't see that as a real issue.
How was that Bill, did I get riled up enough for you? Set up the range and
I'll bring the Sub2000 up when we come.
Bill

I heard from Roland Gilliam, the owner of 5NC3 were we often fly for BBQ,
his 91 year-old father does not live at the funeral home where today's
shooting took place.
Roland will let us know if there is anything we, as a flying community, can
do to help the families of those who have lost loved ones.
Bill
BTW, The funeral home is two miles off the end of runway 13, if any of you
