Craig,
I'm copying these emails to a few folks in central/eastern N. Carolina
who may be interested. They are all RV pilots, but maybe someone is
interested in a little dissimilar formation games.

Ron:
I understand that Team RV is all RVs....it would start to sound like a
law office if it was team RV & CJ :-) Alos, my plane is a good bit
bigger and would not look good in a demo team unless with other Yaks and
CJs.
I am more interested in finding people who are willing to fly
formation together on a regular basis..not putting the CJ in a demo
team. I'd be very interested to learn more about what the RV community
is doing in NC. May I call you at some point? Who are the folks in my
area?
Craig

Craig,
Nothing wrong with mixing aircraft types during formation training.
Even within our own RV community we regularly fly a Super RV-8 (IO-540)
with constant speed prop with an RV-6 with IO-320 fixed pitch! However,
Team RV is all RV types. There are a number of RV formation pilots in
your area but not sure about CJs. There is a Yak pilot over at Siler
City (5W8) you may want to ask about.

As you can see, I was referred to you by Len. Are you familiar with
my plane type - a Nanchang CJ-6? I am FAST two-ship solo qualified and
will work on completing my FAST rating in 2010. I was looking for some
guys to fly formation with. Some CJ guys in VA fly with RVs on a
regular basis. Your thoughts (other than buying an RV!)?

Craig:
I fly with Team RV. We have several guys flying formation, Ron
Schreck in Gold Hill is ex military and probably the best for you to
talk to about mixing your plane with RVs. We have several in Charlotte,
a few out of Raleigh, couple out of Wilmington, three out of SC, three
out of Atlanta that make up Team RV. We practice our airshow routine
one per month in the winter. Our next practice is Jan. 23 in Anderson,
SC I think.

Hi Craig. Best thing for you to do is go straight to the top, The
RV Formation Czar of the Carolina's, Len Leggette. He's at
lenleg@aol.com.
Cheers,
