I managed to save mine from Logshare by copy+paste into Excel... it wouldn't even
let me use the Export feature.. whew, felt like a close call :) ... Anyways
looks like that chapter closed.. Time to move on... Haven't found anything as
simple, useful, good, and FREE as Logshare.. so I'm on "hold" right now.. If
you dig anything out, please let me know.. Worst case I'll just stick with Excel
:) Looking for an iPhone app if anyone knows of a good one..

I have a Weathermeister account so I still have access to Logshare. If
anyone wants me to, I can try and export your logbook for you.

Ya, that sort of stinks, not at least allowing export for those who
want to take their data and go elsewhere. Can you hold data hostage?
Weathermeister/logshare are a good value - especially for those that
fly far and often. I'm happy for Dan for making a go of it, but
changing from free to pay without warning doesn't feel right from my
point of view.
I had a fairly recent back-up, so I could manually add a couple rows
to the CSV file, and I'm good to go.
The paper route is fine. I've filled one logbook from when I first
started flying, but then decided to go paperless. My penmanship
sucks, and I'm always at the computer anyway. Currency reminders are
handy when you're in builder mode and flying time is minimal. Paper
and spreadsheets don't readily do that.
A brief search last night found http://zululog.com. It looks pretty
good, and has a free option, but that level of service does not have
import. I may make a couple entries representing the last 13 years of
flying and start 2010 with the free version of zululog if I can't find
something else.
Bret - Can you export other people's entire logbook?
Thanks,

Zululog.com has a special offer: three months platinum service for
free. If you revert back to free mode after that, all your data is
still retained. That will allow my to import my existing data and
switch back to free later. Thats my plan for now.
Thanks,
