I used to fly a Luscombe based out of Darr and I know of at least one RV-4 that
was based there. It's best to land on 31 and depart on 13. Low power lines
on the southern end and trees on the north. A couple of cell towers in the area
also but they're really not much of a factor. No problem flying in and out
but you'll need prior permission for a tie down. The Darrs are good people.
Larry Darr would be the contact. Let me know if you would like his number.

Depending on where your family lives, I've been to Hiatt (NC97) with my -9
      w/o any problems.
