Charlotte=92s EAA 309 will participate with the Concord, NC airport on
October
29th and 30th to provide Young Eagles flights during their Celebration
of
Flight

nfo) event.
Please contact Chuck Porter (chuck@edmspecialists.com), if you would
like to
help out on the ground or by flying kids.
We will start early, so plan on being on the ramp before 7:30 AM as they
are
going to close the runway and taxiways for a 5K run at 7:30. They will
re-open at 8 AM or when the last runner is clear. (These people must
run a
lot faster than I do!)
There is a fly-in breakfast at 8:30 and we start the YE flights at 9 AM.
Special parking and squawk codes will be giving to YE pilots and we will
receive priority handling.
Fuel: Young Eagle pilots will be able to top off with a discount and
then
receive free refills throughout the event. You will even be able to top
off
before heading home.
One thing, the FAA is expected to ramp check YE pilots and planes, so
make
sure your paperwork is in order.

Thank you, Len, for the recommendation. I get around a lot slower than all
of you in my Cherokee 140; however, I get where I am going. I live just 2
doors down from Len in Greensboro.
