Subject: Pilot's Operating Handbook vs Placards....
I am looking at purchasing an ASW 19B but I have run into an interesting problem
with a placard in the aircraft that is a potential deal buster.
The Pilots Operating Handbook states the max weight without water is 899 lbs.
In the aircraft, there is a placard stating the max weight is 805 lbs. At 805
lbs, the plane will not carry my weight and be legal but at 899 all is fine.
The importer does not know which takes priority. Does anyone out there know what
the answer is to this problem?
