Subject: | Europa motorglider |
Hi,
I'm about to finish my Europa motorglider after 6 years of putting all my
spare time into it.
I built a VariEze a quarter century ago, starting it in November and
finishing it the next August.
I just sent in some pictures of it and once they're up I'll post the address
here.
The Europa is a tricycle gear, two-place, Rotax 914 powered motorglider with
turbocharging and an intercooler.
I've installed oxygen.
It's got Whelen strobes and Nav lites which are detachable. The landing
lights are installed in the wheelpants.
The prop is a three-bladed AirMaster, fully featherable.
Aileron trim with a NavAid wing leveler should help keep it upright. The
NavAid is coupled to the GPS.
WinPilot and AnyWhere Map supply data for flight.
Grand Rapids Engine Information System monitors the engine data.
Electric AH, DG and a 1=minute T&B are installed.
Two batteries are isolated - one dedicated to re-starts only.
I'll get some pictures up shortly.
