Perry" Hey folks (if there are any out there - this is a seriously quiet list!): I'm tossing around the idea of purchasing and restoring a sailplane for a "project" - but I know relatively nothing about that market except what I read (I should mention that I'm an A&P/IA.) I'm not interested in newer composite aircraft - I'm thinking more like a "classic" Schweizer. I've been leaning towards one of the variations of the 1-26, as they seem to be in reasonable supply and reasonably priced. However, I'm open to suggestions! Bottom line - can anyone suggest additional internet sources for looking for an aircraft? So far, I know about the SSA classifieds, I've been keeping an eye on the "Yellow Bible", and I've been eyeing the 1-26 site, but mostly what's selling are flyable aircraft. What I'm looking for is a "project"... and a budget :^) I plan to spend the money on the rebuild, not the original purchase. Regards, Richard T.
