I've been on this list for over a year and have never seen a message posted by

Yep. Quite different from the Pietenpol list, which generates an
average of about 10 emails a day.
I kep subscribed to this list because I intend to get my seaplane rating
in the next year, but so far I haven't learned much from it.

[sorry about the previous empty post]=0D=0A=0D=0A Heck, my Aventura list on Yahoo
has more posts than this list!=A0 Of course, I get about 50 posts a YEAR, so
maybe not a LOT busier. <g>=A0 =0D=0A=0D=0A I don't know what it is, but maybe
because there are so few seaplanes, and each one has its own unique characteristics?=A0
Is there anything in common we have to discuss?=A0 I, for one, would
like to hear from the "old salts" on experiences on landing in unknown waters,
and the dangers they've faced, and how they were overcome.=A0 My biggest
worry is setting down somewhere shallow and not seeing an underwater hazard.=A0
I also have trouble with boaters and jetskiers getting in my way when I'm ready
to take off, because they are curious, but I'm not sure there's anything to
be done about that.=0D=0A=0D=0A -- Robert =0D=0A=0D=0A----------------------------------------=0D=0AFrom:

Jack,
I teach seaplane flying just south of Charlotte. I can send you a spec sheet for
my plane 40 questions on seaplane flying. I can also send you a link to Chapter
15 of the Flight Training handbook that deals with seaplanes. When you
book a rating course with me I send out the EDO book How to Fly Floats. Let me
know if you have any questions.
