I've been on the seaplane list for more than a year. I don't think I've ever seen a message on here before. I don't own a seaplane, but I would like to. I live near Deland, Fl and hanger near a nice seaplane and I've heard rumors that there is a Vans RV with floats attached and located in a hanger backing up to a hanger near me. I have yet to see it. It would be nice if we could get some chatter going about seaplanes, LSA candidates, etc. I probably can't help with building your floats, but I'd love to hear what you are doing with them. Are you sure you are just not Matt trying to convince us/me that there are others out there? (sorry about that, Matt, couldn't resist.) I do not know a thing about building floats. Of course, that hasn't stopped me before; but, I might also have to admit what I built once out of plywood was used as an anti-roll device on a kayak and the other was part of an amphibian plan, so not really a float. Surely there are some float plans out there. Have you web surfed looking for any? Just in case there might really be other folks out there on this list, maybe one of them will know. If I run across anyone, I will steer them your way; or, you theirs. jofarr, soddy tn ----- Original Message ----- From: Subject: Seaplane-List: Re: Seaplane-List Digest: 0 Msgs - 12/17/05 > --> Seaplane-List message posted by: Malcolmbru@aol.com > > wow it is shure lonley out here I realy hope somone showes up soon I need > info on building some flotes from planes ________________________________ Message 4 _____________________________________ Time: 06:26:31 AM PST US From: Sid Hausding Subject: Seaplane-List: Msgs - 12/17/05 --> Seaplane-List message posted by: Sid Hausding Probably a lot of lurkers out there like me.........on type specific lists and just watching the seaplane forum. If you do a simple google search you probably will find a half dozen plans built aircraft float sites. I personally have seen wood, fiberglass and two aluminum sites. I don't have them saved, as I am just finishing my plane and not ready for the bigger wings and floats, but next summer I just might be in that position.............. You might find it pretty usefull in a harbour where it tight I got aerocet 1100s on Kitfox with left water rudder only and I would not want to be taxing with out it ,especially in the wind.
