Shorty,
I talked with Snaps last week. He's not up to speed on how to transfer vhs
to digital, so I agreed to put some together for him. I expect the tapes
soon to arrive in my mailbox. I also have some good video. One I really
love is his 8 second water takeoff with a 270 lb passenger! Now remember,
he only has 750 lb buoyancy floats under that airplane. It was funny
watching him taxi in because he has both doors open, he's hanging out on his
side to offset the weight of the passenger, and the passenger side float is
totally submerged as he idle-taxiis in. Him and his little A-model Avid are
really something. I will never forget the day before that flight, as he
spent all day trying to find the biggest guy he could (that he felt would
still be able to fit in the cabin) so he could test his aircrafts load
carrying ability. So all day he was surrounded by huge men twice his size
that he kept eye-balling. Many of us were concerned he might have switched
over, come out of the closet, etc. (chuckle)
Btw, the reason he was doing that test with his plane was because he was
watching a Kitfoxes take 10 seconds to get off the water solo. And of
course he had to say something to someone about being able to get off the
water in less than that time with a huge passenger. So he more or less
created his own challenge. But he did it! So we were all impressed. Those
old Avids perform if you keep them light and know how to fly them.
So Malcom, what am I missing about Snaps and the dukes of hazard here? I
don't get it...

snaps is teaching me to build floats with a 2 page drawing he made and a
little phone talk . it is not going very well I met snaps when I picked
up his lazair with trailer and floats for a friend of mine. the pic of him
is with a big knife in his mouth and a X rated t shirt mal
