Hello float plane pilots
The wife and I went up to Alaska for the first time last week . We live
in Tennessee . We were blown away by the Lake Hood sea plane base there
in Anchorage . There were hundreds of super cubs , cubs and Beavers
there on floats. A hundred yards away , a gravel strip with several
hundred more pipers on huge balloon tires. It shows up on Goggle Earth .
I spent two afternoons there at this bee hive enjoying every minute.
There are dozens of floats for sale there in a fenced store yard .
Didn't ask about the prices .
