Al,
I'm going through the paperwork now and will report what I have.

Buck,
I'll take some pictures of what I'm doing. The plane I'm working on is an
1835 VW with a Tilliotson carb.
One of the guys on the list e-mailed me that he had a slide carb setup and
heat wasn't required, I understand
what he told me but I'm a little too much "old school" to ever fly without
heat. Talked with Steve Bennett about
it and he said that most pull the air from inside the cowl, this gives
approximately a 40 degree temp rise, on certified
aircraft the FAA requires a 90 degree rise.
The plane I'm working on has the original Monnett conversion with the
extended nose and induction system. I'm pulling
the carb back and lowering it just a bit. Didn't want to lower it but the
last owner really trashed the carb mounting flange
and I need some room to get the bolts threaded into the carb.
I'm not here to read my e-mails during the week so I'll be a little slow in
answering.
What carb and induction set up do you have?

was wondering the same thing about the carb heat question. Would be
interested in how you are going to install same on your plane.
