Any chance the change had anything to do with a change in the cam? Not sure
if I should start using .014 since my engine was made in 1997?

Hello Stratus Guys,
I asked Mykal to clarify the valve adjustment settings. Here is his reply.

The adjustment is .014 intake and exh. with the eng. cold .
Reiner had 14 an 16 in an early manual I don.t know were
10 came in. I got the figures from the cam grinder.
Mykal Templeman. Stratus.

So, .014" is what it should be and that's what I have been using for the
past 240 hours of flying.

I just sent another e-mail to Mykal and asked him if the cam grinds were
the same from the Reiner engines to his engines. Mine was delivered in
early 1998 by Reiner.
I'll let you know.
