--> Stratus-List message posted by: "Gary K" <flyink@efortress.com> Larry, funny you should mention that, I think my cooling system will need some tweaking because it's barely acceptable now in the winter. It just approaches (a conservative) redline after extended climbout, then goes right back down after leveling off. Also, I've just been emailing Pat from CONTACT! magazine regarding my subscription and asked if there were a lot of good cooling examples in Vol II. I have Vol I and it's great, so I was just going to get Vol II. These are good reading regardless, lots of examples of autoconversion homebuilts. Bill, I'd appreciate that writeup on your annual. It's only a matter of time before the rest of us will be doing that and it would be a great help. Gary - chipping away at the 40 hours. 12 hours and all's well. It's tough getting much time in the winter while working. I need to change my work hours and try to get to the airport at sunrise to get some flying in before work. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Larry McFarland" <larrymc@qconline.com> Subject: Stratus-List: Cooling solutions > --> Stratus-List message posted by: "Larry McFarland" <larrymc@qconline.com> > > Hi list, > Seems very quiet lately, probably because of the holidays > but I recieved a book that should be a must read for the > Subaru user. Likewise I've never seen any sign of water either .... seems almost odd to me in an aluminum tank???. The only other plane I owned had a plastic tank and we never had to check for water, matter of fact the darn thing didn't even have a fuel drain in it. Thanks for thinking of us Stratus guys once again, an like Gary I to will be looking forward to your rebuilding write up. And Gary good news ........ the days are now getting longer! Now it's off to fight the Mall crowd one last time! Kelly
