Hi list,
At Oshkosh last year I noticed a nice 601
HD that had gear box fairings and took pictures of
them. This year, while waiting for upholstery foam,
I decided to make a pair. These aren't often seen
on 601 HD series and could possibly be a good
source for reducing drag. Anyway, I put a few
pictures of the gearbox forms, fairings and brackets
on my site and the how-to if anyone is interested.
They weren't hard to do and the winter months are
a great time to catch these items and maybe
a few extra knots.
