Bill,
I just had mine balanced and it did wonders. I think mine was worse
because I have a 2-blade prop. I called the local A&P and they have a
dynamic balancer. He bolted an accelerometer to the drive and we ran the
engine at cruise rpm while he watched the meter and captured the measurement
at worst case. The measurement was within acceptable limits for certified
aircraft and told him where to add weight. He added a few small washers
under a prop bolt and did it again. He said he never saw such low numbers.
It still has a vibration at certain rpm's (they balance it at only one rpm)
but is much better. I was about to take off the Prince prop and get a
3-blade Warp but I'm happy with it now.

Mine did the reverse, kick back unless I pulled back under 800. I switched
to 89 instead of 87 and that took care of that. don

yup, same with mine. i had to adjust my idle to 1000 rpm so that it would
shutdown without kicking back.

No ..... but I most likely will do it yet this year. I'm at 72 hours now and
it seems the 100 hour mark is were valve issue beings to show up. As I live
in the Midwest there's mainly just flat corn, & bean fields to fly over. I'd
be a little more nervous if I flew over a more hostile terrain.
