hmmm ... use more oil? sounds familiar. mine spews black soot - i know they should
run a bit rich because of the intake but maybe this contributes? i may
try to make an air/oil separator. one guy replied that he made one for pennies.

Don't do this on the airplane. You would use more oil, the intake manifold and
throttle body will get greasy inside and because the engine output is continuously
higher in the airplane, there is a need for an unrestricted and open vent
that cannot get clogged like a PCV valve could.
