Where did this "metal" come from?...Have you looked at the valve guides?
I would strongly suggest you send the heads to Ram engines for a valve guide
job. In fact I would get him to bore the block as he is the only one using
the boring plate that's guaranteed to keep the bores round after the heads
are torqued.

www.ramengines.com has all parts and rebuilt blocks too. if you want more
power, it would be a good time to switch to dual port heads and new cam but
that will get expensive.
i heard there is no way to get year info off of the block. there are slight
differences in pistons and valve sizes i think but the blocks are all the
same. dig thru airsoob archives for lots of info of some contact magazine
articles.
NSI might be selling mounts separately or Neil at Autoflight (same mount as
SUB4 bed mount). no websites handy but i have them at work. there is a
slight chance that I might be selling my stratus but i don't know yet.
sorry, not much info but it's a start.

Stratus EA-81 engine. This block had previous work done that left the #3
cylinder deck with a dip in it. I was burning water in this cylider. It
also had passed some metal of some sort thru the left side and dinged the #1
and #3 pistons. I need a new block as well as a total rebuild. Crank,
Rods, Cam and heads are OK. My idea is to get a running car motor and
rebuild using my heads and possibly crank and cam.

Are they all the same as far as accessory locations, so I can use my
Alt, redrive etc. 3. If I opt to purchase a rebuilt engine any
recommendations

happy with the quality of this metal
