It just wasn't to clear on a couple things. I also have an EGT gauge & probes on order as it sounds like the best way to monitor things. I will get my heads on this weekend and then the EGT once it arrives. Then I'll start to tinker. Thanks for the help. If you havn't already, it'd be a good thing to either put EGT sensors in the exhaust pipes about 3-1/2" rearward of the port or do a Colortune test window plug to get a sense of exactly what's going on mixture wise. I use EGT sensors and find that with 170 jets, the high rpm temps don't reach the 1550 at max rpms of 5100. Today, I ordered the 165s and another set of float bowl gaskets with the prospect of moving the circlip down one on the needle to widen the enrichment rpm band.
