--> Stratus-List message posted by: "gary" <FlyinK@Efortress.com> Just had to let you guys know that although some companies had fancy booths setup at Oshkosh, Stratus had two little airplanes that flew across the country and were parked together. Bill Morelli flew his 601 from VT and I flew my Pelican from RI. Bill mentioned that he was going but I forgot all about it until I pulled up an autoconversion row and saw his plane sitting there. His website doesn't do his plane justice, very nice workmanship and a very nice guy too. He also flew it to SNF, so it's a well-proven cross-country package now. Maybe not as fast or flashy as the RV's and fast-glass, but add up the dollars to buy it and fly it and nobody will beat that. Congrats on the trip Bill. BTW, he did it the hard way - solo. I had my wife/navigator/traffiic spotter with me and I know that made it a lot easier. I'm sure there were plenty of NSI EA-81's in Kitfox row but there were only two other soobs on auto row, both homebuilt soob installations I think (vs NSI or Eggenfelner). One Cozy with an EJ-22 or 25 I think, and an Aerocomp with an EG-33 and Ross drive. There were two Mazda's, three VW's and one Chevy V-8. I was very surprised not to see more autoconversions parked in the autoconversion area. I'm sure the Glastar, RV and Kitfox guys want to be together as would the Zenith or any other planes (there were no other Pelican's nevermind a Pelican area) but I thought there would be a lot more. I say that every year and it doesn't seem to change much. Oh well, I'm happy with it and having fun. Hope everybody else is having good luck too, fly safe. Gary

A well built RV will 'usually' return all the cash to its owner when sold.
