--> Stratus-List message posted by: "Larry McFarland" <larrymc@qconline.com> Does placing the TP45 on a heat sink near a coil on the firewall put it in any difficulty with moisture thru the cowl? I wrapped the .040 perforated heat sink with half an inch of clearance around the module and they are directly behind the left carb elbow with an inch of clearance. That is, could one of these be expected to fail to operate in the rain? --> Stratus-List message posted by: "Hinde, Frank George (Corvallis)" <frank.hinde@hp.com> Shouldn't be a problem. The TP45's are only switching low voltage so as long as the connections are good they will work fine. The high tension side of the coils are much more likely to fail in the rain but mine have run just fine in such conditions.
