I'm a dipstick! A friend that looked over my engine years ago before
first flight recommended making some sort of keeper for the dipstick. I
never did. The other day, I took a couple laps around the racetrack and
smelt oil. Landed and saw oil running down the side. The dipstick came
out and made a mess. After checking, I realized that it was a lot
easier to pull out than it used to be. After two hours of cleaning, I
made a lanyard for it.
Just a heads up if anyone is flying without a retainer for it. Make one
now!
Stratus for sale! I'm buying a 140 HP AutoFlight EA-82.
In the mean time, I'm ordering an Airmaster and will try running it on
the Stratus drive. Any comments?
