Yup, still flying. No problems recently. Never heard back from lectric
Bob on my alternator failure, but I haven't been on the aeroelectric
list.
I just ordered an engine monitor. I was building my own, but it's a lot
like building a plane - 90% done and still 90% to go. So I was debating
between the GRT, Dynon and Advanced Flight Systems. They are all very
close, and I liked the GRT but ended up ordering an Advanced 3400.
Actually, I liked the display that I made the best but it's too much
work right now. The 3400 won't be available for months yet, but at
least I'll finally have EGT's, fuel flow, fuel press and a few other
things I don't have now.
I found out that Ultravia, my Pelican company, went out of business and
Kolb bought them out. I don't think they will continue support of my
plane but will be using the wings to design a new LSA. Is everyone else
here Zenith 601's?
